1 Timothy 1 – 2
Time to Journal, make notes of the following:
Timothy was a young man that grew up with his mom and Grandmother and the Apostle Paul mentored Timothy. Paul sent out Timothy as young as he was to do the Lords work.
1 Timothy 1:1-11 - Write down what you think Paul is telling Timothy about the false teachers.
The leaders in Ephesus were spreading false teachings about Jesus. They were questioning the Torah which is the first 5 books in the Old Testament (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy). They started spreading weird teachings about what food should be eaten and about Marriage.
Paul says that the clear way to see that these teachings are false because when a true Christian preaches the results are genuine faith and love.
Have you experienced false teachers before? How do you know what they are teaching is false?
What else stand out for you in 1 Timothy 1?
Read 1 Timothy 2 and Psalm 1 and Journal the following notes:
What is being taught here? What does it mean?
What are these scriptures telling me to do?
Is there a command for me?
Is there a promise for me?
How can I apply this to my life?
Choose a memory verse and put it up as your status to encourage others during this lock down.
