Part Two – For this afternoon/evening ✝️ 🏡Find a place that is quiet where you will be undisturbed 📖Bible 📒Journal 🖋️Pen 🖍️Highlighter 🧶Blanket ☕Cup of tea/coffee/hot chocolate :D Mar 11:15 On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple area and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, Mar 11:16 and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. Mar 11:17 And as he taught them, he said, "Is it not written: "'My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations'? But you have made it 'a den of robbers.'" After cursing the fig tree🌳 Jesus went to the temple⛪ and there he found people selling things 🐑🕊️and charging huge amounts taking money 💰💰 from people and exploiting the poor. 👎🏽This made Jesus angry because people were being exploited which over priced things on sale and the temple of God was being misused. 💒

Jesus thought the priests and Temple personnel were abusing their sacred roles by being involved in business in a sacred area. Here Jesus is referring to the physical temple being misused for selfish gain. There have been cases even in our modern-day age when the church is used for profit. One such example is people selling anointing oil 🍶that cures diseases, we know this is not true, but other people are led astray by this. ❓Have you seen or experienced anything like this before? The bible also describes us as the Temple 1Co 3:16 Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? 1Co 3:17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple. You have been set apart for special purposes. 🙏🏽The temple is meant to be a house of prayer 🎵🎶A place for praise and worship 🙌🏽A temple that must bring glory to God 💒A temple that is sacred and Holy. 🤗A place to the Holy Spirit to dwell 📖A wealth of wisdom from the word of God. But sometimes our temples have not been used for these purposes because we have become distracted by the world. It may be a place of anger, sin, negative thoughts, worldliness and that is why we have to allow Jesus to come and cleanse our temples the same why he did in the temple in Jerusalem. 🖋️Write down what you would like Jesus to cleanse in your temple. Take time to pray Once you have made a list, pray about it and invite Jesus in. In order to remain strong after the cleansing of our temples we need to change some of the habits that lead our temples to need cleansing. Perhaps new habits need to start. Fill your temple with praise and worship, the word and the set yourself apart for Holiness. 🎵Declare the song over your life Set Apart – Worship Central🎶 Memory verse Choose a memory verse and put it up as your status to encourage others during this lock down. Close in prayer🙏🏽
