1 Timothy 3 – 4
Time to Journal, make notes of the following:
1 Timothy 3
What are the qualities that God has put in his word for leaders?
How can you be a Godly leader at home, school and church?
1 Timothy 4
Here Paul is describing what will happen in the last days. That people will abandon their faith and follow teachings that are false. These teachings come from people who are hypocritical meaning that they may teach one thing and yet live out something completely different.
Things like telling people not to get married, telling people to abstain from certain foods. Do any of these teachings sound similar to you? Have you heard these teachings elsewhere?
We have a responsibility to be good ministers of Jesus Christ and point out the truth to our Brothers and Sisters. We know what the truth is by reading the Word of God everyday. Are there some ‘myths’ and ‘old wives tales’ you have heard before?
It is important to train your body, going to the gym and exercising but now we need to focus on training ourselves to be Godly.
Even though you may be young you can train yourself to be Godly by asking God to help you break old sinful habits and also by *studying* the word of God everyday. When we do this we can be an example for all believers in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity.
How can you be an example to others?
What stands out for you in Psalm 2?
After reading these scriptures make notes on:
What is being taught here? What does it mean?
What are these scriptures telling me to do?
Is there a command for me?
Is there a promise for me?
How can I apply this to my life?
Choose a memory verse and put it up as your status to encourage others during this lock down.
