Hey guys 👊🏽 🗓️9 days left till lockdown is finished! How are you planning to celebrate the end? (If they don't extend it) When we get saved everyone has something called a Testimony🙌🏽. A testimony is how Jesus rescued you from the life you were living. I am going to send a song called testimony. Listen to it and consider what your testimony is. 🎶Worship for today: Testimony – Elevation Worship 🎵 📖Read John 12:3-6, Mat 26:10-13, Mary Anoints 🍶 Jesus for Burial In John 12:5 this valuable ointment was worth 300 pence or denarii, 💰which would be the average wage for 300 days of labor (almost what an average worker would earn in one year). One denarius = $20, therefore 300 denarii = about $6000, or R65000 (at about R180/day x 365). We definitely cannot place value on what Jesus did for us, but for Mary 👩🏽 (Mary Magdalene) this jar of perfume was everything and that is how much Jesus meant to her💛. Of all her possessions, wealth and everything she had, she loved nothing more. This is a lesson for us. There are many things that steal our devotion from God but it is time to put those things aside and show God that He means more than all of it.

📖Luke 21:1-6 Judas betrays Jesus for the price of a slave 😱The value of 30 pieces of silver or shekels is three pounds fifteen shillings = 3.75 pounds = $350 = R3700. This is in stark contrast to the R65000 that Mary lavished on Jesus. The irony is that Judas was the one complaining about Mary pouring R 65000 worth of perfume on Jesus meanwhile he sold Jesus for the price of a slave. A huge contrast. 😱

This makes me think about the question. ❓Are we like Mary or are we like Judas? The Bible says the where you heart is, there your treasure will also be. We not just talking about monetary value (Which is important) but our time. We often spend the most time with the things and people we love the most. ❔How much time do you spend with God? ❓Where do you spend most of your time? We have had a lot of time over this lock down to spend with God. Maybe it has revealed your heart. 📖Jesus was rejected so that we can be accepted ✝️“But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation” – Luke 17:25 ✝️_Even my close friend, whom I trusted, he who shared my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.- Psa 41:9 _ ✝️“He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not” – Isaiah 53:3 In many ways Jesus was rejected. By his closest friends🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♂️, His entire nation🙋🏾🙋🏽‍♂️ and even the very people that he healed and performed miracles for✴️. I know many of us have experienced rejection from Family members, friends and other people. ❌Rejection affects us very deeply and it is affects our hearts and our lives in many ways. But Jesus was rejected so that we can find Acceptance in God. We are adopted in His family and He loves us unconditionally. ✝️“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ” – Ephesians 2:13 ✝️
